Discover the Mystery of Faith Explained

Faith is a mystery. Mysteriously people who have faith are able to do more than those who have little faith. If you have faith, then according to your faith, said Jesus Christ, shall you receive what it is that you desire.

What is faith?

Faith is something most people think is not a substance but an intangible unknown. Yet the King James Bible says "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen".

  • Because faith is a substance, this means faith is a fundamental element that underpins all things that exist and from which all things come into being.
  • Because faith is a substance, this means that it possesses a quality that can be known.
  • Because faith is a substance, it provides a form of evidence for something that is unseen.
What this means for you is that if you believe something to exist:

  • you need to have the faith to move towards verifying this;
  • you need to move beyond mere wishful thinking;
  • you need to act upon your belief that a given thing is true;
  • you need to expect to have evidence that what you believe actually exists.

Too often people say they have faith when in reality they do not have faith, because they only possess wishful thinking. Wishful thinking is merely considering ideas and possibilities without any expectation that they might be actual realities that you can enjoy with your natural senses.

If something exists, you will be able to either see it or smell it or taste it or hear it or touch it. But how do you see, smell, taste, hear, or touch faith? Well, you might not taste or hear or smell faith. But you will feel faith. You can also see faith in action.
You feel faith when you believe that you will obtain what you are expecting to receive.
You see faith when it becomes active and somebody acts upon his or her belief that something is about to happen and that person positions himself or herself to benefit from a future event, or to achieve a goal that might seem impossible.
Faith comes through your natural senses.

  • When you smell something, according to the type of smell you will picture the smell to come from something, even if you do not see it.
  • When you taste something, you believe your taste buds will tell you what you are tasting.
  • When you hear something, you believe the sound tells you that someone or something is making or has made the sound, and you will develop a picture in your mind.
Supernatural faith requires you to accept the existence of the supernatural. If you only wish for the supernatural, that is have a wish to have a supernatural experience but do not expect a supernatural encounter, then you will not have one.

The mystery of faith is discovered when you act on a sound belief that what you desire will come to pass, because you do this with a right attitude toward all people and the Creator of life. Once you learn to activate faith, and it becomes commonplace in your experience the mystery disappears and the fun begins.

New NASA Data Blow Gaping Hole In Global Warming Alarmism

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.

Study co-author Dr. Roy Spencer, a principal research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer flying on NASA's Aqua satellite, reports that real-world data from NASA's Terra satellite contradict multiple assumptions fed into alarmist computer models.

"The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show," Spencer said in a July 26 University of Alabama press release. "There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans."

In addition to finding that far less heat is being trapped than alarmist computer models have predicted, the NASA satellite data show the atmosphere begins shedding heat into space long before United Nations computer models predicted.

The new findings are extremely important and should dramatically alter the global warming debate.

Scientists on all sides of the global warming debate are in general agreement about how much heat is being directly trapped by human emissions of carbon dioxide (the answer is "not much"). However, the single most important issue in the global warming debate is whether carbon dioxide emissions will indirectly trap far more heat by causing large increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds. Alarmist computer models assume human carbon dioxide emissions indirectly cause substantial increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds (each of which are very effective at trapping heat), but real-world data have long shown that carbon dioxide emissions are not causing as much atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds as the alarmist computer models have predicted.

The new NASA Terra satellite data are consistent with long-term NOAA and NASA data indicating atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds are not increasing in the manner predicted by alarmist computer models. The Terra satellite data also support data collected by NASA's ERBS satellite showing far more longwave radiation (and thus, heat) escaped into space between 1985 and 1999 than alarmist computer models had predicted. Together, the NASA ERBS and Terra satellite data show that for 25 years and counting, carbon dioxide emissions have directly and indirectly trapped far less heat than alarmist computer models have predicted.

In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth's atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict.

When objective NASA satellite data, reported in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, show a "huge discrepancy" between alarmist climate models and real-world facts, climate scientists, the media and our elected officials would be wise to take notice. Whether or not they do so will tell us a great deal about how honest the purveyors of global warming alarmism truly are.

Theory of Evolution Has Another Claim Proven Wrong

Darwin's "Exhibit A" may have collapsed
New find puts Archaeopteryx in dino class
It's okay for dinosaurs to have feathers
IT'S evolutionary science's biggest told-you-so.

For nearly 150 years, dino boffs have been wagging their fingers at each other in a war over whether the winged Archaeopteryx deserves to be venerated as the first bird.

Most of them were happy to go along with the theory that Archaeopteryx sat squarely at the root of the broad group of proto-birds, known as Avialae, from which our modern feathered friends have emerged.

The emblematic creature was also held up as a case study of evolutionary transition, to wit, from dinosaur to bird.

And not just any old case study — Archaeopteryx's apparent role as evolutionary placeholder signalling the transition from dinosaur to bird was Charles Darwin's favourite example.

Over the years, a few brave scientists have gingerly expressed doubts about the theory.

They said Archaeopteryx's bird-like characteristics — feathers, the wishbone, three-fingered hands — were also showing up in proper dinosaurs.

But when they get an idea into their heads, scientists are hard to shift. And all the classic classification signs kept placing Archaeopteryx on the so-called phylogenetic tree showing the shift from dinosaur to bird.

Enter Xing Xu, a professor at Linyi University in China's Shandong Province and discoverer extraordinaire of dinosaur fossils, in particular, a new species unearthed in northern China.

In Liaoning Province, Prof Xu and his team unearthed a dinosaur — Xiaotingia — which was roughly the size of a chicken and weighed less than a kilo.

It shared a host of key characteristics with Archaeopteryx but seemed, at the same time, to fall into another group of non-avian dinos called Deinonychosauria.

A standard computer analysis confirmed as much, but at the same time produced a stunning result — when Xiaotingia is added to the classification table, Archaeopteryx gets reclassified into the same group.

It turns out Archaeopteryx, the iconic 150 million year old "original bird", is probably just another dino with feathers, of which there are many, the researchers said.

It is hard to imagine a tougher fall from evolutionary grace.

"In other words, Archaeopteryx was no longer a bird," Lawrence Witmer, a professor at Ohio university's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, said in a commentary in Nature.

Xiaotingia, it turns out, was the smoking gun that sceptical scientists had been looking for.

Surprised by their findings, Xu and his team ran the analysis again, but this time without the newly discovered species.

Archaeopteryx was restored — in error, they now knew — to its previous perch.

"Perhaps the time has come to finally accept that Archaeopteryx was just another small, feathered, bird-like theropod fluttering around in the Jurassic," Prof Witmer said.

One reason it has been so hard for biologists to embrace this idea may have more to do with history than science.

The first Archaeopteryx specimen was discovered, with uncanny timing, less than two years after the publication of Darwin's game-changing Origin of the Species.

With an evenly matched blend of avian and reptilian features, it became — in textbooks and public debate —"Exhibit A" in explaining the transformative power of natural selection and evolution.

"The familiar fossils have guided almost all scientific thought about the beginnings of birds," Prof Witman said, including himself among those led astray.

Its reclassification, he added, is likely to "rock the palaeontological community for years to come".

So who are the new candidates for king of the roost?

No single species is likely to ever gain the stature that Archaeopteryx once had, Prof Xu said.

But among the new pretenders, three newly discovered creatures stand out — Epidexipteryx, Jeholornis, and Sapeornis.

10 Rules For Peace and Prosperity.

I have the Power To Decide

You have the ability to make your own decisions. why would you want to other people make decisions for you?

Criminals have decisions made for them when they are imprisoned by a court of law.

If other people are making decisions for you, then you are not a free person, you are a prisoner. Only free people can make decisions for themselves.

I will stay true to my goals

Many people make wish lists. Many people have dreams. Few people have a vision for their life.

Life is a journey that you can determine to take and make your own. How you live it will depend on the goals to which you commit yourself. If you have no goals, you cannot not make a commitment to them. If do not commit yourself to a goal, you have no vision of how your life should be lived and you will end up impoverished.

I will keep my word

People who do not keep their word have no integrity. Integrity is the most important element to becoming a fulfilled and happy human being.

Many salespeople are known for bending the truth and not keeping their word. However, being a great sales person and not being trusted has consequences.

If other people do not keep their word, at least you will always be respected for keeping your word. You will be trusted and this means people will want to do business with you.

I will do my due diligence

The proverb "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread" wasn't coined for nothing.

You can trust every human being to be human, which means that they are untrustworthy and will generally take you down and rip you off at the first opportunity.

While it is unwise for you to call every one you meet a liar and a cheat, it is wise to do your own due diligence and obtain information from independent sources before making a commitment to anything.

I will respect the views of others

Not every body will respect your views. Many people will claim that their guess is always better than your guess. Nevertheless, always respect the right of other people to have a guess, even if they do not know what they are talking about.

You do not have to act upon the guesses of other people, even if you acknowledge that they might have a valid point of view (the emphasis is on the MIGHT and not the "have").

I will not dwell on insults

When you dwell on the insults of other people, it is they that have power over you.

When you dismiss insults immediately, as soon as they reach your ears or are seen by your eyes, you will find that you are free to do other things and enjoy the rest of the day.

I will not involve myself in other people's relationships.

Two's company, three's a crowd, therefore do not invite trouble for yourself by getting involved in other people's relationships. Let other people work out their own problems without your expertise.

If you want to get involved with another person, always make sure the coast is clear, unless you are thinking of starting World War 3.

I will think of alternatives

There is more than one way to skin a cat, according to the proverb.

If you haven't learnt to think outside the square or become a lateral thinker, at least consider that there are always two sides to a coin. And, just in case you were wondering, even a circle has two sides: the inside and the outside.

I will not repeat gossip

Gossip is the realm of the poor, the petty and the wanton (that is the have-nots). Yes, where there is smoke, there is fire, but remember what a person might be cooking on that fire could be her dinner. Just make sure it is not you.

I will focus on developing my own skills

While it is good to admire other people's abilities, don't become a spectator in life. Much of the fun is in the doing, rather than in the booing, as you watch your heroes get older.

Learn new skills that are in line with your life's vision habitually and you will succeed, naturally, with no great effort and simply as a matter of course. Assuming this is the course that you have set in how you want to live your life, so you can enjoy peace and prosperity.

The Problem With Atheism

The problem with atheism is the concept offers nothing but a bleak, cold, empty, future.

According to atheists, the concept of a god is an invention of mankind. When you look at the many gods that have existed in this world that have been paid homage, revered and devoted, you would have to agree. There have been gods that are angry and gods that are benevolent. Not only have there been gods, there have been goddesses. Many of the gods of the ancient world have become relics of the past. While in India, there are gods that are still being born as humans and then exalted to Godhood status to be adored and worshipped. These are manmade gods that not only atheists reject, but so does the majority of the world’s population.

The problem with “atheism” is the very word suggests that the idea of God exists. If there were no such thing as an entity that is designated “God” existing, then atheists would not call themselves such. It is one thing to reject manmade gods and call yourself an atheist because you do not believe that manmade gods are truly Divine, but another matter to oppose the existence of the DIVINE ONE, God Almighty.

When we talk about origins of the Universe, we all know that the Universe was not made by man. Man can create many things, but the creations of man are not in the same league as those crafted by the Creator of the Universe. When you consider what man has created, the one missing major factor is life itself. No man has created a living entity. Man has created buildings and other architectural structures, equipment and vehicles, airplanes and ships, electrical goods and power generators, but nothing that has life in itself and has the power to procreate. The closest man will come to being able to copy the idea of procreation is to create robots that build robots; only this is not the act of procreation.

The problem with atheism is that the rejection of God Almighty being the creator of the Universe means another view has to be concocted as to how the Universe came into existence and life of Earth materialized. Instead of creating manmade gods to substitute the divine, atheists like to subscribe to a theory of nothingness bringing forth something. The very concept of nothing producing something is an oxymoron; a contradiction in itself. Nothing brings forth nothing; something brings forth something. There is no such thing as nothing bringing forth something. But this is the only defense an atheist has in rejecting the Infinite One, the Creator of the Universe.

The problem with atheism is its adherents rely on the illogical to dispute the logical. To explain the world as we know it today, atheists like to subscribe to the theory of evolution as a scientific fact that somehow has been proven. Somehow, out of chaos order was created. (Not sure how the theory of evolution proves this in a laboratory.) Then there is the question of evidence of design being created without a designer. Ask any believer who believes the theory of evolution to be a scientific fact to prove this to you and you will be ridiculed for being unscientific. On the other hand, if you suggest there is no evidence that life evolved over millions of years, these atheists declare they have evidence (interpreted to demonstrate this) in the fossil record and you cannot deny their interpretation of the facts.

The problem with atheism is adherents need to resort to trickery to justify their claims. The first law of thermodynamics states you cannot create something out nothing. This is classified as not only a scientific principle, but an undeniable fundamental truth. However, the Theory of Evolution states that order came out of chaos and this is a scientific fact. If you do the research, you find that a scientific law holds precedence over a scientific theory any day.

The problem for atheism is scientists reject the truth because they want to create their own lie, like George Wald, who shared in winning the Nobel Peace Prize for medicine (1997). In Scientific American (August 1954) George Wald wrote:
“When it comes to the origin of life, we have only two possibilities as to how life arose. One is spontaneous generation arising to evolution; the other is a supernatural creative act of God. There is no third possibility...Spontaneous generation was scientifically disproved one hundred years ago by Louis Pasteur, Spellanzani, Reddy and others. That leads us scientifically to only one possible conclusion—that life arose as a supernatural creative act of God... I will not accept that philosophically because I do not want to believe in God. Therefore, I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation arising to evolution.”

The problem with atheism is it offers nothing but a bleak, cold, empty, future, yet people prefer this than to having a future with a hope. The only reason can be, like George Wald, they do not want to admit that whilst humans have been created in the image of God, and maybe are little gods with the ability to discover the wonders of the Universe and create and design new technologies, they are not God.

The truth About Religion

Every religion incorporates three aspects: the ideal, the quest for attaining the ideal, and the theology, which is the worldview that explains its existence in relation to the world.

Whether you like it or not, you are inherently religious. Religion is inescapable.

People claim they are not religious but secular. However, secularism is a really a substitute religion, only it does not appear to incorporate a distinctive set of institutionalized values or rituals or rites that can be identifiably recognized as belonging to every person who adheres to secularism. Yet secularism does have certain identifiable traits and values which are peculiar to its identity, otherwise we would not be able to define secularism.

Secularism is distinctive from Animism, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. Including Secularism, one could say there are six religious expressions to which most people on Earth today belong; each claiming around one billion adherents.

Essentially there are really two types of religion. One is man-made and the other is true religion.

Man-made religion is a substitute for true religion. It is based on the philosophies and imagination of man and incorporates all sorts of worldviews, rituals and rites. Some are seemingly innocuous but leave participants psychologically scared, while others are bizarre.

It is said that if you want to train people how to recognize counterfeit money, you get them to become so familiar with the real money that when they encounter a counterfeit it is immediately recognized. With this in mind, we will look at what true religion should look like and then you will know any counterfeit variety immediately.

Like every religion there are three aspects to true religion: the ideal, the practices for obtaining the ideal, and its theology or world view.

The ideal for true religion is eternal life. Eternal life simply means that you will never die, that is, have ceased to exist. Death means the cessation of life.

Eternal life for some is considered to be transmigration or a series of reincarnations in new bodies through a process of birth and rebirth. For other people eternal life is living in the memories of their descendants. Some people see eternal life as being born never to die in their physical bodies. Some more view eternal life as becoming spiritual creatures. Jews, Christians, and Muslims view eternal life as receiving resurrected bodies from a Creator.

Just to be born only to die means a futile existence. Once you recognize this fact, you begin to wonder how it is possible to avoid death, or, in other words, how is it possible to gain eternal life.

Life itself is defined variously as a state of activity, or avoiding death through the exertion and appropriation of energy, or an existence which incorporates the reproduction and growth of an organism. But life without meaning is not really life.

Apart from being eternal, the ideal life is one of bliss, full of love, joy and peace, where new discoveries and wonder never cease. But is this possible on Earth?

Those who believe it is not possible to have a blissful life on planet Earth look forward to such an existence occurring after death. On the other hand, humanists like to think a life of bliss is possible on Earth, and have rejected traditional religious values in order to bring this about through secularism, but unfortunately have not really been able to make any progress.

The Bible teaches there will be a life of bliss on Earth when Jesus returns to reign. The Bible also teaches that those who desire love, joy, peace and a life of wonder in this world will also be satisfied. This is contrary to what is often taught by those who claim to follow the teachings of the Bible.

If anyone today desires to experience the ideal life of love, joy, peace and the wonder of new discoveries, then this is possible.

Jesus said that he was the Way, the Truth and the Life.

The ideal of true religion is an abundant eternal life that can be attained by anyone on Earth.

The practices required to attain to the ideal life on Earth now and forevermore are all bound up in truth and truthfulness.

The theology concerning the true religion is simply known as The Way.

Jesus essentially claimed that HE is the answer to all your problems and all you had to do is become like a little child. A little child innocently accepts the guidance of his or her parents. In like manner, all you need to do is meditate upon Jesus teachings, be honest with yourself, and place childlike trust in Jesus, and you will find your problems begin to be solved.

Unfortunately, many people think that being a Christian means being born into a country or a community who claim to be Christian, just like Muslims and Hindus and Buddhists claim their faith as part of their cultural heritage.

True religion is about you seeking to discover the truth for yourself and once having discovered what is true, then living a life of truth.

The first truth everyone must seek before they can begin their journey of discovery is why we are born into this world when we did not ask to be born. This is the beginning of true religion.

The answer can only be found by establishing a relationship with the Author of Life. This is the Way. The way to eternal life only comes through discovering the truth.

True religion is so simple and easy to understand and does not involve complicated explanations. It is all about you and your relationship with the Creator, not how you identify with a man-made system of beliefs.

What is reality?

This is a question that people sometimes ponder. I have spoken to numerous people who have raised the very question with me. Often I have been told that we are all living an illusion and one day we will wake up and realize that this is a dream. Tragically, what some people might simply call a dream is a nightmare for many other people.

Martin Luther King is often quoted for his speech “I have a dream”. Evidently, King did not see the life that he was living to be a dream, and nor did the many people who suffered the injustices of segregation.

The people, who have told me that we are having a dream, in the main, were mostly young adults from middle-class western families who still lived at home and were trying to philosophize about the world and excuse their hedonism (irresponsible lifestyle of recreational sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll). True responsibility was something that they had not really encountered, as mum and dad were still paying the bills.

Responsibility can be pleasurable or painful. Some people enjoy authority and carry out their responsibilities with pleasure. On the other hand, there are people who find the responsibility of authority a painful experience.

Everyone has a degree of authority; even if it is only the personal authority of exercising one’s own volition (i.e. freewill). Exercising one’s freewill also brings with it responsibility.

Freewill means you and I have the authority to say “Yes” or “No” before we act. Freewill also means we ought to be responsible for our decisions, because we will have to give an account of our actions sooner or later. In other words, the reality of our decisions will affect us sooner or later.

Even though we have not really nailed what reality is yet, you are getting the picture when confronted with the idea that “the reality of our decisions will affect us sooner or later”.

People scoff at what Jesus said when speaking to the hypocrites and warning them of hell, saying their worm will never die. Essentially, he was saying the reality of their decisions would torment them.

To be tormented is the worst kind pain. It is a nagging pain. Unlike excessive physical pain that sends a person unconscious, nagging pain is like a throbbing toothache that is unrelenting.

People experience this sort of pain when they are anxious or feel guilty or are reminded of some loss that was important to them. This world is full of pain. Hence, when we feel pain, we know that we are real. Pain is a reality that we would prefer not to know.

Is reality pain? It is when you feel it. But true reality is right now. Reality is always now. If you have no loss, or grievance or problem, or discomfort, then you can enjoy the now, it never ends.

Sometimes the truth about our decisions are not fully realized at the moment we make them. We can be deluded by our own illusions of being someone who does not have to face the consequences of our decisions or actions. In this respect, our now may be a short-lived illusion. Jesus illustrates this in a couple of parables about rich men.

One parable speaks of a man storing up treasures on earth and then when the man decides to retire and enjoy his material wealth, reality hits him when he dies and has to give account of his soul.

Another is the story of the rich man who refused a beggar bread, but when he died the rich man was cast into hell, whereupon he sees the beggar enjoying the privileges of heaven. The rich man employs God to send someone to warn his brothers, but is told that if they do not believe what Moses said, they will not believe if anyone returns from the dead.

Reality is now and the truth is now. Even though you have not yet died physically, the mere fact that you are going to die really means that you are dead, because, if you had eternal life, death would never be an issue, for even if you were killed, it would only be temporary; just like when Jesus was killed on a crucifix. However. Jesus rose from the dead, because he had the power of an indestructible life.

The question is: Are you satisfied with your reality?

If you are not satisfied with your reality right now, it may be worth your while to take note of what Jesus said,"Those who seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness will be satisfied".
