He came into this world for the express purpose of paying the price for sin (violation of faith) so that we could all be reconciled to the Father, in the hope that we will accept that He has paid the price for our sins and through an expression of faith establish a relationship with HIM. 

By acknowledging your wrongdoings against others, by forgiving them, and acknowledging your wrongdoings against God and asking forgiveness for your sins, you will know the difference, without anybody needing to tell you.
